Octavia's Bookshelf - an independent bookstore in Pasadena which is now gathering and distributing necessary resources for those who have lost so much in the wildfires.

Anti-Recidivism Coalition - a coalition working to end mass incarceration in California and currently raising funds to support the incarcerated fire crews working endlessly to put out the Los Angeles wildfires happening now. All funds go towards providing the firefighters with Immediate needs (‘thank you’ meals, food trucks, hygiene supplies including shower trucks, clothing and equipment for our crew members on the ground battling the Palisades and Eaton fires), Fire camp upgrades (new televisions, microwaves, gym equipment, sports equipment, and more), and Scholarship funds for individuals once they’re released (support for school supplies, housing, utilities, rent, as well as necessary equipment those entering professional firefighting careers).
Off-The-Grid Missions - The only Disaster Response organization dedicated to providing Deaf & Hard-of-hearing people with life-saving resources around the world. Currently, they are responding to the wildfires in CA to provide support to deaf & disabled evacuees.
Liyang Southern California - An advocacy network supporting human rights/environmental defenders in the struggle for land and self-determination in the Philippines. Currently Liyang Socal is providing Indigenous-led mutual aid efforts in Echo Park and beyond. They are gathering donations and distributing them to those in need.
Altadena Kindred - Is a collective making an effort to support the children affected by the 2025 Eaton fire. Collecting kids clothing, comfort and care organized by the Altadena community itself.
Ktown for All - An all-volunteer homeless outreach and advocacy organization in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Alongside their current work, they are also setting up local distribution centers and community support for Angelenos affected by the fires.
Masc Bloc LA - mutual aid project to distribute free masks in the so-called Los Angeles area. Currently Masc Bloc is helping to gather and distribute thousands of masks to folks in need of respiratory protection amidst the horrible air quality situation in LA due to the wildfires who may have not had access to masks otherwise.
This list was compiled by a long time community member and local resident of the LA area. Their family has been evacuated and is safe, yet so many people are in crisis and need! Thank you showing your kindness and concern by contributing to local organizations!
